About

The mission of the Friends of Community Recreation (F.C.R) is to make recreation available to every and support families in the Laramie community and throughout Albany County.

Friends of Community Recreation (F.C.R) was initially formed to support construction of the Laramie Community Recreation Center and has been in existence since 1988. When the Recreation Center was completed in 2004, F.C.R continued as a general support group for all types of community recreation.

Friends of Community Recreation is the non-profit group that made the 8-lane pool at the Laramie Community Recreation Center possible. We have financially supported specialized equipment and bleacher seating for the 8-lane pool, bleacher seating in the ice arena, fitness equipment for the recreation center, expansion of the Laramie Greenbelt, landscaping around the recreation center, and day passes to the recreation center for underprivileged families and individuals.
